Rabbi Yigal Begun 

Director 

Rabbi Yigal Begun is a passionate Jewish educator and community leader dedicated to inspiring the next generation with a deep love for Judaism and Jewish life. Alongside his wife, he serves as co-director of Chabad of Greater Rancho Park, where he has been actively involved in Jewish outreach, education, and community building.

With years of experience working with families from diverse backgrounds, Rabbi Begun has developed a thoughtful and engaging approach to Jewish education that makes learning both accessible and meaningful. He is deeply committed to helping each child feel connected, confident, and proud of their Jewish identity.

At CKids Hebrew School, Rabbi Begun plays an active role in shaping the educational vision and ensuring that every aspect of the program reflects warmth, authenticity, and excitement. He believes that children learn best when they are inspired, supported, and given opportunities to experience Judaism in a hands-on and joyful way.

Rabbi Begun’s work is rooted in the belief that every Jewish child deserves a strong and positive foundation that will guide them throughout their lives.

 

Nechama Begun

Co-Director 

Nechama Begun is a Jewish educator and outreach leader with extensive experience in both classroom teaching and community education across multiple countries. She has spent many years working in schools and educational settings, bringing creativity, structure, and warmth into every learning environment she enters.

As co-director of Chabad of Greater Rancho Park alongside her husband, Nechama has dedicated herself to building meaningful Jewish experiences for children and families. Her approach to education centers on connection, encouragement, and hands-on engagement, helping each child feel confident, valued, and excited to learn.

At CKids Hebrew School, Nechama plays a central role in shaping the student experience and educational programming. From curriculum development to holiday activities and classroom engagement, she ensures that learning is both joyful and impactful. She believes that when children feel personally connected to what they are learning, they develop a lasting love for Judaism and a strong sense of pride in their identity.
